Dr Niruban Ratnarajah is an experienced NHS GP who has additional training and expertise in dermatology and minor surgery. You will be reviewed in an initial appointment with Dr Ratnarajah. 

Your initial consultation with Dr Niruban Ratnarajah is a dedicated space for you to discuss your skin and minor surgical concerns. Set within a calm and open environment, our approach emphasises genuine dialogue, making sure you feel acknowledged and understood. 

During this session, you can shed light on your current dermatological symptoms or surgical needs. You can also share any concerns, questions, or any information you feel will help you. If you’ve been maintaining a record or have any specific notes regarding your condition, bringing them can be immensely beneficial.

We might explore topics related to your general health, lifestyle, and any previous dermatological or surgical experiences. If you’re currently on any medication, especially related to skin conditions, please bring them along. Should you have digital access to your medical records, having them available on your mobile device would be advantageous. Depending on the symptoms or concerns you present, a physical examination may be necessary. 

To wrap up the consultation, we’ll outline potential treatment paths or next steps, and you’ll receive a comprehensive summary of our discussion.  

Please note:

• If a private prescription is given, the pharmacy will charge for the cost of the medication. This can be significantly higher than the NHS prescription charge
• If appropriate, another appointment will need to be made for minor surgery or joint injections. There will be an added charge for this.
